Opera

I have almost always had a great love of music, specifically opera. I think it's one of those things that a lot of people don't really appreciate. A lot of people just make fun of it and make some sort of joke about it, but don't take time to really listen to the beauty of it. I will admit, I don't like all opera. Some styles just don't mesh well with me. I do have a favorite singer. Luciano Pavarotti. I think that he was amazing. Here is a video of him singing the song that Paul Potts used in Britian's Got Talent. My favorite part is at the end of this video when he smiles. I think it shows his love of the music.

Gives me goosebumps every time. The libretto is pretty great as well.

Nobody shall sleep!...
Nobody shall sleep!
Even you, o Princess,
in your cold room,
watch the stars,
that tremble with love and with hope.
But my secret is hidden within me,
my name no one shall know...
No!...No!...
On your mouth I will tell it when the light shines.
And my kiss will dissolve the silence that makes you mine!...
(No one will know his name and we must, alas, die.)
Vanish, o night!
Set, stars! Set, stars!
At dawn, I will win! I will win! I will win!

I felt goosbumps too. I have a lot of memories of my mother listening to and telling us about these great singers. Because of that, I have a deep appreciation for oprea as well. No other instrument can perfectly imitate the human voice. It is simply beautiful.
Thanks for sharing!
