Well, just about everything in our life has changed since I last posted! It'll probably take me a few days to finish writing it all down, but here we go.
I'll start off with some fun stuff we did before all the crazy! My mom, sister, niece and nephew came to Utah to visit! We went to the Children's Museum in Lehi. It was a lot of fun and Asher just loves all his cousins so he was especially excited that they came to our house to visit!

| You may not be able to tell, but Asher was so upset when I took this picture. I kind of made him go on these rope bridges (which he had been on before and did just fine) but this time he had a gigantic freak out and screamed at the top of his lungs until I carried him out. Let me tell you, it is not easy carrying a 4 year old across a rope bridge while another child (Ledger) was pushing me from behind! Luckily the rest of the trip went pretty well! |

David had applied for at least 5 different jobs in the Eastern Idaho area and always come in 2nd choice. At the end of May my brother let me know that the orchestra teacher in Idaho Falls was retiring and her position was open for application. I told David about it and he applied. Neither of us were expecting anything to come of it. We figured he'd get an interview, which he did, and then they would pick some local person. Well, after the interview he got a call back that he had been offered the job! We were both pretty shocked. I told David I wanted to go to Idaho after he finished school and take a look and see how we felt about it. Driving up there David pretty much decided he wanted the job. It was just what he was looking for. A high school position, only teaching orchestra (no band or choir), and it was in Idaho! I needed a little more convincing. We have moved around so much and I was just barely starting to feel settled in our place, I really didn't want to leave all our friends and start over. I knew my family would be close and that was a nice thing to look forward to! And David wouldn't have nearly as long of a commute so we'd be able to see him more during the school year. I finally agreed with David and when we got back from Idaho we started getting our house ready to sell! We fixed up a lot of stuff, painted our bathroom, fixed a giant hole in the ceiling, and cleaned like you wouldn't believe. We decided to take the Idaho job the beginning of June, listed by the end of June, found a new house to buy, moved in with my parents for a week, and finally moved into our new house! It's been a busy summer.

| While our realtor held an open house and some showings we decided to just leave and go to Idaho. We stayed with my parents and my mom helped babysit while we looked at houses. |

I realized that selling your house is a weird thing. You spend so much time cleaning and making everything look nice, only to leave and let a bunch of strangers walk through your house without you there. We had to get creative on where we went during walk-throughs, inspections, etc. since we had Millie and couldn't go to any stores. One time we went to Bridal Veil Falls! It was a nice little walk and we enjoyed being outside.

| Asher had a hard time when we started packing up all his stuff. This was his 7th move in his short life. He always wanted to be right next to me. One time I went to the bathroom and he came and laid on the floor and tried reaching his hand under. It made me very sad. Hopefully only one more move and that won't be for like 5 more years! |

| Packing all our stuff up really took it's toll on Asher. One day he woke up at 2am and I don't think he ever went back to sleep. I put him in bed a couple of times but I don't think he slept. So at church he couldn't keep his eyes open. |

| I may have cried a little when I took this picture. This is Monty, Asher's best friend in Utah. He lived in our building and they spent the whole summer running around together having a blast. They fought like brothers and spent many hours every day playing weird little games. And I got to be pretty good friends with Monty's mom. They even helped us load our truck and made us dinner the last day we were there! They were one of the reasons I had a hard time with the move. But we plan on making a couple trips to Utah in the next few years and they have friends in Idaho Falls they visit so hopefully we'll see them again soon! |
