Ledger

My sister Joni had a baby about a month ago.  It is her first child and we are so excited to have this new addition to the family!  These are some pictures I took for her.  So here he is, little Ledger!

Another Concert!

This will be a short post because I'm still recovering from the last few weeks.  I am now working 3 jobs and have very little free time.  Well, I did.  The place that I work is changing things around and yesterday was the last day as a fast food place, it's now all Florences Chocolates!  I'm pretty excited because my job will get a million times easier and I won't have to work nights any more.  I also play in the Idaho Falls Symphony and work a little bit for my sister doing cleaning stuff.  So anyways, I'm glad that my 12 hours workdays will stop for awhile.

The concert last night was amazing!  We played Mendelssohn's Hebrides Overture (which I'd never heard before but loved it instantly), Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto #2 (with a guest artist who plays amazingly), and Brahm's Symphony #2.  It was a huge concert that took a lot of preparation and concentration, but it was all worth it.  No one played perfect, but I think overall we all felt good about it.  After the Rachmaninoff, the guest artist played an encore piece.  It's aparently well known by everyone but me, but I loved it.  It just made me feel at peace with everything.  I forgot what was going on with everything else in my life and was able to just appreciate beautiful music.  This isn't who played with us, but it's the same arrangement.  It's Bach "Sheep May Safely Graze".  Hope it makes your day a little bit brighter!
