I have to share a quick story. David and I were watching a movie last night and David fell asleep half way through. I quickly made him get up and move to the bed so that it wouldn't be as much of a struggle since he was still a little coherent. We got in bed and I had a hard time falling alseep. About 30 minutes after we went to bed I bumped David while turning over and he woke up a little. This conversation followed:
Me: Oh, sorry!
David (sitting up a little and looking very confused): Where are....where are the....the.....
Me (knowing David is still dreaming): It's ok, just go back to sleep.
David (still very confused): But where are the fishies?
Me (trying very hard not to laugh, but still knowing he's dreaming): David, just go back to sleep.
David: But where are the fishies??
Me (laughing even harder): We don't have any fishies.
David (getting very upset and almost crying): NO!!! But why?!
Me: I'm sorry David, we don't have any.
David: But they're always here!!!!
Me (trying not to let David see me laughing because I'm afraid he'll start crying): It's ok David. Just go back to sleep.
David (laying back down and kind of falling alseep, while wimpering this): But where are the fishies? Where are they?
I was trying so hard not to laugh, but it was very difficult! I always try to figure out why David dreams about the things he does, and I think this happened because we were watching the first X-Men and a man turns into a fish-person and that's about when David fell asleep. Anyways, it sure made my night!
