September

I can't really think of many big events that happened the last two weeks, so this post will mainly be a photo dump!

Asher started playing the cello!  David has given him a couple lessons and is also his orchestra teacher at school.  I think they are both having fun with it.

I have the kids do chores every Saturday and one of their regular Saturday chores is to clean their room and make their bed.  Ava was so proud of her bed that she had me take a picture.  Also featured in this photo is the insane amount of toys she sleeps with and the many drawings covering their wall.

I think the girls have latent memories from the womb because they are always laying upside down.

Like always upside down.

Mia loves going on bike rides and will usually ask me to go on one with her after dinner.  I'm glad it's stayed warm enough that we can still go!  This particular night she wanted to wear her Halloween costume. 😁

A couple years ago their Grandma started a fun little thing she calls "Moon Dollars".  Every time there is a full moon they can call her or send a message and she will send a dollar coin she calls "Moon Dollars".  It's such a fun way to keep them connected with her even though we don't live close by!

The night we went out to find the full moon, the kids had so much fun running around in the dark that they decided to read their bedtime books outside.  It was actually pretty fun!  Asher even volunteered to read Mia's book to her.

I'm glad it wasn't too cold!

Our neighbors Halloween decorations in the background.

We also had General Conference!  This is one way Asher kept himself busy while listening.

A couple years ago I started doing a "General Conference Store".  I've seen other people do it much better than me, but it's helped the kids stay engaged and at least semi-listening, so I count that as a win!  After every talk the kids have to tell me something about the talk or we have a little discussion about the topic and they got a penny.  They could spend that penny on little toys or treats I had set out.  I think their favorite toy was this foam-squishy stuff.

They're favorite part was taking each little foam ball and putting it on everyone's faces.  Ava started doing it to herself, then all 3 kids did it to me, then they moved on to each other!

It kind of looks like they were diseased, but they had fun!

Last, here's a picture of the swing we always stop at on our bike ride!  The couple that lives here is in our ward and told us to stop and swing any time we wanted.  Mia takes full advantage of that!

I really want Asher and Ledger to get together and perform a cello concert for us!
