David and I went to the library today. David listens to books on his mp3 player while he works out at the cemetery and he wanted a new book because he's just about finished with the one he has now. While we were there, I looked at the book sale they had going on. There were so many books in this little room, I could've stayed in there forever looking through all the titles trying to figure out which ones I wanted! I love reading. It made me a little sad, looking at all those books, because I want a room like that in my house. Of course, our apartment is so small we can barely fit all the stuff we have in it as it is. I told David that I really wished we could have a library. He said we have a pretty good start! (Our bookcase is packed full of books, we might need to get another one soon) I want a room in my house just for books. I don't care if it's a huge room, just one where you can sit and read and enjoy yourself.
It's really frustrating that we are so confined by our financial situation, but I guess that means we'll just enjoy it that much more when we reach that point in life! David and I talk a lot about what kind of house we want eventually. I want a big wrap-around porch so you can put one of those swing-bench things on it and also plenty of space to plant my garden, both vegetable and flower! David wants a second story balcony so we can sit up on it and watch the sun set. And we both want a big library. I really hope that someday we get that house! But I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't get everything we wanted. It's nice to have the dream, though.
We talk a lot about things we want to do and things we want to buy. Some of it is attainable, some of it not so much. But I like thinking about it. Things we could have someday. It's really exciting when we actually get some of those things we talk about! I think that throughout our lives we're going to get those little thrills when we do or get something we've talked about for years. Maybe someday David will even get his horse! I heard a saying once that said "Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars." I love that! It gives me hope that, although we may not get exactly what we wanted, we'll end up with something great all the same!
