1 Year, Baby!!!

Joni's going to be mad because I posted right after her and that makes me the favorite, but I really have been meaning to post this all week.  I just have some extra motivation now!  Sorry Joni.  But you're going to Hawaii so I don't really feel that bad.

So I posted about our pre-dating experience, and our dating/engagement, so now comes the big day!  After school got out in April, David moved into our apartment because he didn't have anywhere else to stay and we couldn't find an apartment that would be open in May (because the semester ended and began in April so that's when everyone was moving in and out).  We were so excited to move into our apartment!  Something that would be ours and we wouldn't have to have a chaperone everywhere we went!  That was until we started moving in.  We moved in in the middle of the week, in the middle of the day, so everyone else was busy with school, work, etc.  So David and I pretty much moved all of our junk (and we had A LOT) up 3 flights of stairs!  I thought I was going to die after that day.  My arms were so tired and I didn't think I could get my legs up any more stairs.  I have the stamina now because I climb up and down those stairs all day, but not then.  My parents did let us use their Explorer so we wouldn't have to make as many trips to and from our other apartments, but it was still a big hassle.  I'm not looking forward to moving out...but maybe since you guys have some notice...you can all mark your calenders now!

The day before the wedding, most people say they start freaking out and there's so much to do...I didn't really feel that.  We had to plan stuff out, sure, but it was pretty calm.  I was just so happy to finally be married!  The day of the wedding I got up at about 8, had some breakfast, went and got my hair done, and went home to get everything ready for the temple.  I made my way up there and had my mom and sisters help me into my dress.  I was excited, but not too stressed!  That's because I didn't know what was going on with the groom.  David was supposed to go down to Rigby to pick up our flowers right when they opened at 9.  He went down there, told them he was there to pick up the flowers, and all he got was a blank stare.  The lady thought the wedding was the next day!  David started getting a little worried and called my mom who said for them NOT to tell me, a decision I agree with to this day.  The lady said they would hurry and get the flowers ready and deliver them to the temple for us.  The flowers were there after the sealing (to David's suprise and delight!) and all was well!  And I really loved my flowers.  I thought they were gorgeous.

During the ceremony, you always hear about the bride starting to cry and the man is just smiling and happy.  I probably started to cry, but David was entertaining my family with his dancing feet!  I guess during the whole thing, his feet were bouncing up and down fairly vigorously.  They all said they wanted to get a video of it!  I wish they would have because then I could have seen it!

That day was amazing.  My brother made a special trip up from New Mexico and missed his own graduation from his Masters program so that he could be at both mine and my sisters wedding.  It really meant a lot to me to have my whole family there in the sealing room.  And it was also a special sealing because David's grandpa performed the sealing for us.

The weather outside wasn't ideal...just ask Joy!  It was a typical Idaho day with huge wind gusts!  I like the second picture because that was the one picture David wasn't hold my veil down, and you can see what happened!

After this we went to our luncheon in the Manwaring Center.  It was super awkward walking through there in my wedding dress, but the food was amazing!  And after that we left for our honeymoon!  Which is a completely new story that I will tell next time.  I know I probably should've posted this tomorrow, but I don't really want to be writing up this huge long post then, I want to enjoy the day!  Here are a few picture of day.

My family! (minus Chade...) Nathan and Zach were a lot happier at Joni's wedding. But I'm so happy they all could make it!

David's Familia!  We sure did miss the rest of you!

I can't believe it's already been a year! That was a nice relaxing day. I'm glad you have good memories of the day being good. I thought it was great having you walk through the Manwaring Center in your wedding dress and David in his Tux. It was awesome! Who knows how many guys you inspired to pop the question to their girlfriends. ha ha
